Sehr schöne Hochwintertour über vorwiegend Almwiesen und zum Schluss über einen Kamm zum Gipfel. Start ist in Unterberg/Jetzbachgraben bei Maria Alm. Vom Parkplatz geht's kurz auf einen Forstweg bis zu einen Gebäude. Hier rechts zur Hinterjetzbachhütte (1144). Weiter geht's kurz Westlich, später Richtung Südwesten über weitere Wiesen und einen kurzen Waldgürtel an der Hofer Hochberghütte (1650) vorbei zu einer Kuppe (1920). Nach einer zweiten Kuppe erkennt man den Gipfel der Schwalbenwand welchen wir über einen Nordkamm (Vorsicht Wächten) erreichen.
