Die Tour beginnt im Naturdorf Sachrang/Grenzhub, direkt an der Grenze zu Tirol.
Von dort geht es nach Sachrang, vorbei an der Touristeninfo, entlang der Prien Richtung Aschau. Über Berg, Huben, Innerwald nach Grattenbach. Der Weg ist leicht wellig und meist mit Split befestigt. Vor Grattenbach wird die ST2093 überquert. Hinter Grattenbach beginnt der Aufstieg von etwa 700m zur Schachenalm auf etwa 1000m. Von der Alm geht es auf guten Forstwegen wieder zurück.
