This bicycle tour takes you through the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, visiting the wall itself and several sights in the area. All together, the track takes you past the following sights: Hadrian's Wall at Steel Rigg and Cawfields Quarry, Once Brewed National Park Center, Vindolanda Roman Fort (closeby) and the cute market town of Haltwhistle.
The track can be followed with a touring bike, but although there is no great distance to cover some endurance is needed because there is a steep climb from Haltwhistle to reach Hadrian's Wall.
Refreshments can be found at Haltwhistle, at the Milecastle Inn (Military road) and at the National Park Center.
The track starts and ends at Saughy Rigg Farm because we took lodging there.
