Ausgangspunkt dieser Tour ist der Ort Lavamünd bei der Draubrücke. Es geht in Richtung Norden, vorbei an sehr schönen Wegkreuzen bis zum Ruskreuz (Ausgangspunkt des Geologischen Lehrpfades, Weg Nr. 306, 06). Weiter führt die Wanderung zum Rottensteiner Kreuz. Vom Rottensteiner Kreuz geht es noch ca.10 min. über einen Hohlweg leicht bergauf bis zum Kreuzungspunkt Ruine Rabenstein/Gh. Rabensteiner. Hier rechts abbiegen entlang dem Wanderweg (Weg Nr. 306A), vorbei am Gehöft vlg.Weißegger sind es bis zum Gh. Rabensteiner, dem Endziel dieser Etappe noch ca. 20 Gehminuten.
