This track is suitable for normal trekking bikes, and it takes you on a wonderful trip from Borrowdale to some of the greatest sights in the area.
On the first part of the voyage you will drive northwards on the western shore of Derwentwater, and you will end up right in the middle of Keswick. In Keswick you will be lead to the old railway station, and from there the track follows an old railroad line for about 2 miles. After leaving the railroad you will come to the greatest sight of the trip - Castlerigg Stone Circle. After enjoying the wonderful setting there, you will return to Keswick and drive soughtwards on the eastern shore of Derwentwater until you are back in Borrowdale. All in all a fabulous trip !!!
Refreshments can be found in Keswick and in some hotels and cafes in Borrowdale.
The track starts at Seatoller in Borrowdale since we had lodging there, but you can join in anywhere along the track.
