Startpunkt ist in Brunn bei Abersee; zuerst ca 2Km Aspalt u. dann Schotterpiste. vorbei an Braunauerhütte, Illingeralm, Pillsteinhöhe 1478m, Anikerhütte, Franzishütte, Seibahnbergstation zum Gipfel Zwölferhorn 1521m.
Man kann auch mit dem Auto (Mautstrasse - Mautautomat mit Schranken - derzeit € 5.- pro Auto)bis zur Illingeralm und dann zu Fuß ca. 1,5Std zum Gipfel wandern.
