In der Nähe von Mammendorf gibt es noch ein intaktes Restmoor nahe der Ortschaft Haspelmoor. Früher wurde hier noch Torf gestochen (bis 1958). Jetzt soll es noch bewahrt werden und ist der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. In einer halben Stunde ist es durchlaufen, bitte auf den Wegen bleiben.
Der Weg von Mammendorf dorthin ist eine nette Radl-Tour ohne Anstrengung durch die Landschaft.
In Haspelmoor gibt es auch eine DB Haltestelle.
