Tourstart ist der Parkplatz am Segelfluggelände auf dem Dottinger Eisberg mitten in einer Wacholderheide-Landschaft. Dort ist auch eine Grillstelle. Die Fliegerklause bietet an Wochenenden Kaffee und Kuchen an. Ich durfte dort eine Flugstunde in einem Motorsegler mitfliegen – allerdings auf Voranmeldung. Vorbei geht’s an den Marbacher Pferdekoppeln mit interessanten Informationsschriften. Ein Abstecher zum Gestüt Marbach (ca. 800 m) ist "Pflicht". Man wandert zurück zur Wanderstrecke und dann ein kurzes Stück auf dem Lehrpfad "Planetenweg". Zurück geht's an Steingebronn vorbei zum Segelflugplatz. Die Wanderstrecke ist ausschließlich auf gut ausgebauten Feldwegen mit teilweise asphaltiertem Belag und enthält kein starkes Gefälle/Steigung.

Von Reutlingen kommend auf der B 465 und dann die L230 in Münsingen. Nach etwa 2 km links ab. Dort befindet sich ein Hinweisschild Segelfluggelände.
