Von der Karthause Grünau (Einkehrmöglichkeit) das Kropfbachtal aufwärts. Dann ein Stück auf dem Eselsweg, man quert die Autobahn und fährt weiter zur höchsten Erhebung im Spessart, dem Geiersberg (586 m üNN). Vorbei an den Sendeanlagen und dann steil bergab ins Haseltal, entlang des Bachlaufs und vorbei an den Mühlen geht es weiter bergab. Zum Schluss noch einmal kurz bergauf zurück zur Karthause.
