Schmidt - ein Paradies für Erholungsuchende und Wassersportler
Der reizvolle Eifelort Schmidt liegt am Nationalpark Eifel, am Nordrand der Rurtalsperre auf einem offenen, jedoch von weiten Wäldern umgebenen Bergrücken auf einer Höhe von 480 m ü. NN. Das gesunde Mittelgebirgsklima bietet ständig reine frische Eifelluft. Auf der anderen Seite wird Schmidt begrenzt durch die tief und steilwandig eingeschnittenen Täler der beiden Eifelflüsse Kall und Rur, die mit ihren Seitentälern teilweise unmittelbar bis an die Ortslage heranreichen.
Einkehrmöglichkeiten gibt es in Schmidt reichlich.
