Die Tour beginnt im Sachsengrund bei Morgenröthe Rauthenkranz. Sie führt vorwiegend durch bewaldtetes Gebiet zum Zulauf der Talsperre Carlsfeld. Hier kann man nach links einen Abstecher machen um die Talsperre besser zu sehen.Man befindet sich nun auch auf dem Kammweg Erzgebige-Vogtland. Später verläßt man diesen wieder nach rechts abbiegend und gelangt zum Ausgangspunkt,

Auf der B283 von Aue in Richtung Klingenthal biegt man in Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz ab als ob man zum Raumfahrtmuseum möchte. Am folgenden Kreisverkehr nimmt man gleich die erste Ausfahrt nach recht und fährt bis Sachsengrund. Die Straße endet dort auch.
