Direkt von unserer Unterkunft in Neu-Gasteig zunächst auf Asphalt, dann auf einen Steig Richtung Milderaunalm. Diese passieren wir und folgen weiter dem Steig bis zum Hühnerspiel (360 Grad-Aussichtspunkt mit Blick u.a. auf den Gletscher). Dann auf einer Art Höhenweg Richtung Brandstattalm. Über Forstweg und Steig zurück nach Gasteig.

Auf der Straße durchs Stubaital bis Gasteig. Alternativ kann man an einem Parkplatz oberhalb von Krössbach (gebührenpflichtig) parken.
