Schöne Waldwanderung mit Aussichten - auf abwechslungsreichen Wegen.
Vom Parkplatz geht es ca. 500m auf einem schmalem Asphaltweg hoch. Es folgt ein längeres Stück auf Schotter. Zum Sonneneckkamm auf Pfaden der ein kurzes Stück ziemlich verwachsen ist. Auf dem Sonneneckkamm ist der Weg teilweise stark verwurzelt, aber gut zu laufen. Der Abstieg vom Kamm zur Alttrauchburg ist recht steil.
Bei der Burgruine hat man die Möglichkeit zum Einkehren.
Vor der Holzbrücke geht es weiter die Treppe hinunter, rechts an der Kapelle vorbei und dem Schild „Wassertretanlage“ folgen. Der Pfadweg führt hinunter zum Parkplatz.

Von Isny kommend auf der B12 – Grossholzleute – Abfahrt Nellenbrug – Kleinweiler nach der Kirche die nächste links (kleine Teerstraße) ca. 670m dann rechts ca. 250m zum kostenlosen Parkplatz.
