Start am Bahnhof Mühlbach am Eingang ins Pustertal. Es geht den Pustertaler Radweg entlang bis Ehrenburg. Von dort geht es rechts aufwärts in das Montaltal Richtung Ellen.Asphaltstraße bis zum Parkplatz Kreuzner. Dort beginnt der Forstweg Richtung Starkenfelder Hütte, vorbei an der Astalm bis zu Starkenfelder Hütte. Eigene Käserei. Hier hat man den höchsten Punkt der Tour erreicht. Von da geht es gemütlich abwärts zur etwa 100 HM tiefer gelegenen Ronerhütte, dann über Nauders immer Richtung Mühlbach hinunter zum Ausgangspunkt der Tour.
