Panoramablicke auf den Stausee
Schöne Tour mit Start in Nideggen Rath, vorbei an Buntsandsteinfelsen und mit tollen Ausblicke auf den Stausee. Start der Wanderung ist in Nideggen-Rath. Hier folgen wir weitgehend dem Weg Nr. 13. Wir wandern entlang den Bunstsandsteinfelsen in Richtung Obermaubach, den See rechter Hand liegend. In Obermaubach, ist eine Rast zu empfehlen bevor wir hinauf auf die Höhen von Obermaubach zur Waldkapelle mit herrlichen Panoramablicken auf den Stausee und ins Dürener Tal. wandern. Dann geht es zurück nach Nideggen. Empfehlenswert ist auch, die Wanderung von Zerkall aus zu starten und hier auch zurückzukehren. Dies auch mit Blick auf die Bahnverbindung empfehlenswert, so kann die Wanderung auch in Obermaubach abgebrochen werden. Für Familienwanderung (ohne Kinderwagen) geeignet, jedoch aufgrund der Anstiege ist eine mittlere Kondition von Vorteil.
