Von Recklinghausen durch das Naturschutzgebiet "Die Burg" nach Marl. An der Zeche Auguste Victoria 3/7 vorbei zum Lippe Seitenkanal.
Am Kanal entlang über Flaßheim, Ahrsen mit den beiden Schleusen zum Dattelner Meer.
Weiter am Rhein Herne Kanal in Richtung Schiffshebewerk (ca 3km über Straße). Von da aus durch die Felder zurück.(Dort ist eine Bahnschranke die, wenn sie geschlossen ist, man fernmündlich öffnen muss.)
Strecke besteht zu größten Teil aus Schotterwegen (70%) und kleineren wenig befahrenen Straßen (25%). der Rest ist Straße mit Fahrradwegen.
