Streckenverlauf der Wanderung
Vom Parkplatz Am Bötschenberg führt die Strecke hinunter zum Alten Badeteich, der ehemaligen Badestelle der Helmstedter bis zum Bau des Waldbades Birkerteich im Jahre 1952. Wieder hinauf auf die Kammlage des Lappwaldes geht es vorbei an der Schutzhütte Großer Wald zurück zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung.
