The baltic states are almost completely flat, so a good training is not necessary. However, the weather could be a problem, the touristic season is only in the sommer months. You must plan your trip accordingly; in september the weather is unpredictable and in october it is too cold to ride.
Estonia is the most beatiful country of all 3, with many forest and lakes. Also, the seashore is impresive but inadequate for sun tan (the sun shines in a couple of months only).
Several types of cloths are a must, the weather can be bad outside of may-august. We were 10 days in those countries and had rain, wind, cold and hail in 9 days. In some days the wind was very strong, which meant good physical condition.
We were moving from 1 place to the next. In some cases we spent 2 nights in the same hotel. Latvia does not have much infrastructure for the tourism, especially on a bike. Besides Riga there´s no much in the country, which was also mentioned by the tour leader.
You need 1 day for visiting each Tallin, Riga and Vilnius.

We hat support and transport with a van, the tour was organized by a travel agency. There was always a bus driver and a tour leader. The tour started in Tallin (very beautifiul), led us to RIga (interesting but not quite beautiful) and ended in Vilnius (also very beautifiul).
Visiting the small villages and touristic ressorts is interesting. Towns and cities have something to offer, the capital cities certainly too.
