Vom Parkplatz Falkenheim führt die Wanderung am Nordrand der Asse in östliche Richtung. Vorbei am Freizeit- und Bildungszentrum Freundschaft ist nach ungefähr der Hälfte der Wanderung der Philosophenweg erreicht. Direkt an der Kreuzung befinden sich zwei Geopark-Infopunkte.
Von hier aus führt die Wanderung über den Philosophenweg zurück zum Ausganspunkt am Parkplatz Falkenheim.
