Am Mähhorn führen einige offizielle und ausgeschilderte Wanderungen vom Ferienland Donau-Ries vorbei. Wer aber keine große Wanderung machen will kann das Mähhorn auf den hier gezeigten Weg erkunden.
Beim Mähhorn handelt es sich um die größte Kalkmagerrasenfläche im Huisheimer Gemeindegebiet. Die Gegend ist hügelig und man hat von hier einen großartigen Ausblick in das Ries und den Rieskraterrand.
Im Sommer 2022 war das Gras braun und trocken.

Nach Huisheim fahren und da zum Beispiel bei der Kirche parken in der Nähe vom Dorfladen. Ich bin noch etwas weiter gefahren zum Ortsrand Richtung Mündling auf der Mündlinger Straße.
