Start ist direkt auf der Terrasse des Hotels Glieshof im hintersten Matschertal.
Zuerst über die Wiese, dann auf einem Weg ins Upiatal. An den Upiaalmen vorbei immer in südöstlicher Richtung, bis sich der Weg in Richtung Nordosten dreht. Nun auf das Pleißenjöchl zu und links auf den Gipfel, 3175m. Die Aufzeichnung des Anstiegswegs ist u.U. nicht ganz korrekt, der GPS-Empfänger wurde evtl. durch Reflexionen gestört, Zacken im Track von 2 km wurden deshalb gelöscht.
Die Abfahrt begann direkt am Gipfel in die steile, aber aufgefirnte Gipfelflanke und querte später die Aufstiegsspur. Etwa bei Höhe 2000 kann man den Weg nach links verlassen.

Die Reschenpassstraße in südlicher Richtung abwärts fahren. Bei dem kleinen Ort Tartsch, unmittelbar nach Mals, links abbiegen (Wegweiser ins Matschertal). Ca. 15 km taleinwärts bis zum sehr empfehlenswerten Hotel Glieshof, 1824m.
