Ausgangspunkt ist der Parkplatz bei der Nigl Alm (Viehtaleralm) in Kleinreifling. Ab dort ist die Route markiert. Sie verläuft anfangs auf einer Forststraße, hier kann man jedoch auch die Abkürzung auf der ehemaligen Skipiste schnur strax nach oben benutzen. Bei der ehem. Bergstation angelangt gehts hiterm Lifthäuschen weiter Richtung Kuhberg. Ab hier sind es dann nach 300 hm. Am Gipfel wird man von einer wunderbaren Aussicht ins Xeis, Hinterstoder und Niederösterreichische Voralpen belohnt. Uns hat die Tour sehr gefallen.
