Die Tour startet linksrheinisch an der Oberkasseler Brücke und führt Richtung Norden an der Theodor- Heuss-Brücke vorbei bis zur A44-Flughafen-Brücke. Hier ist der Belag oft gut, meist sehr gut.
Nachdem man hier den Rhein gequert hat, geht es rechtsrheinisch zurück an der Esprit Arena und der Messe vorbei bis nach Düsseldorf. Hier ist der Belag nahezu perfekt zum Bladen. Der Rhein wird über die Rheinkniebrücke überquert.

Da es ein Rundkurs ist, ist es ziemlich egal, wo man startet. Wander- oder Restaurantparkplätze gibt es genug, wobei die in Düsseldorf immer etwas kosten dürften oder zeitlich begrenzt sind.
