Die Benediktinerabtei Gerleve liegt zwischen Coesfeld und Billerbeck in Westfalen in einem südlichen Seitental des Coesfelder Bergs auf 125 m Höhe über NN. Das Kloster wurde 1899 als bäuerliche Schenkung des Hofes Wermelt von Mönchen der Erzabtei Beuron gegründet und 1904 zur Abtei erhoben. Patron ist der hl. Joseph.
