Vanuit het centrum van Bad Munstereifel richting het zuiden. Door een schitterend wandelgebied, door de bossen, open veld met zicht over de heuvels van de Eifel.
In de plaats Schonau is een cafe restaurant Erftstube die op maandag Ruhetag heeft, maar de eigenaresse wil ons best koffie schenken.Ze stelt wel voor om broodjes bij de plaatselijke supermarkt te halen.
Een zeer gastvrij onthaal. Verder zijn er op de route weinig eet en drinkgelegenheid.
