Die Route ist eine Variante von http://www.bikemap.net/route/468803, startet aber in Böblingen Diezenhalde. Die Route ist landschaftlich schön. Sie führt teilweise auf asphaltierten, teilweise auf geschotterten Radwegen. An wenigen Stellen, insbesondere in Waldenbuch und Böblingen, führt sie auf der Straße.
Auf der asphaltierten ehemaligen Eisenbahnlinie im Siebenmühlental kommt man richtig flott voran (sofern nicht zuviele Fußgänger unterweges sind).
