Vom Jagdschloss (Wildbretverkauf!) geht es in den hauptsächlich mit Buchen bestandenen Wald. Erst ein Stück durch den Saupark, dann in Sichtweite von Springe Richtung Webelsgrund. Wer mag, kann einen Abstecher zur Hallerquelle machen. Vorbei am Gestüt Webelsgrund geht es wieder in den Saupark und dann steil bergauf, der Blick Richtung Deister entschädigt für die Strapaze. Den Kamm erreicht, geht es ähnlich steil wieder bergab zurück zum Jagdschloss.
