Gewaltige (Firn-)Skitour mit grandiosem Finish beim imposanten Gipfelkreuz.
Man startet im Tuffbad auf 1262m und folgt zunächst dem Wanderweg durch das Wilde Sender Tal in Richtung Zochenpass. Wenn der Weg nach links zum Pass abdreht bleibt man jedoch am Talgrund und folgt dem Bachbett bis vor den Grubenspitz. Dort im Talschluss angekommen geht es weiter in Richtung Norden und kommt so knapp unterhalb der Eisklammscharte zum Skidepot. Von dort quert man nach Links in Richtung Nord-West in eine Rinne. Dieser folgt man zum Gipfel. Eine meist eisige Steilstelle wird dabei über die Felsen links umgangen.
Steigeisen und Pickel sollten bei der Tour nicht fehlen.
Vom Gipfel hat man einen klassen Ausblick in Richtung Lienzer Dolomiten, vorallem in den Kessel vom Laserz, sowie den gegenüberliegenden Karnischen Alpen.
