Eigentlich fahre ich ja Rennrad, habe mir aber Ende letzten Jahres ein MTB gekauft und bin damit ab und an im Wald unterwegs. Jetzt bin ich durch einen Kollegen auf die Idee gekommen, den Kellerwald Bikemarathon (40, 80, 120 km) mitzufahren (natürlich nur die kurze Strecke, die für die weiteren Distanzen dann 2- und 3-mal gefahren wird). Es ist eine super Veranstaltung mit richtig internationalem Flair (sehr zu empfehlen, man fühlt sich fast wie ein Großer). O.k. bei meiner Fahrzeit gibt es noch room for improvement, die Großen sind deutlich schneller...
Jetzt zur Strecke: eine wunderbare Runde mit Startpunkt in Gilserberg. Es geht z.T. für mich sehr anspruchsvoll sowohl Bergauf (über 1000 hm auf 40 km) als auch bergab (z.T. auf tollen single trails). Die Landschaft ist super - der Kellerwald ist für's MTB sowieso eine Reise wert!
