Die Tour beginnt am Steinertsee Parkplatz und führt hinter dem Kaufunger Weinberg einen Pfad hinauf aufs frei Feld. Von dort aus geht es an den Gestüten vorbei bis auf die Höhe des Sensensteines, von wo aus man einen Panoramaweg zu Schliefen-Mausoleum und später zu zum Affendenkmal einschlägt. Nach dem Denkmal wird Windhausen tangiert. Der Absteig führt leider ein Stück an der Straße entlang, jedoch ist am Rand ein gemähter Weg, welcher auch mit Hund gut gangbar ist und somit breit genug. Durch ein kurzes Walstück geht es zurück hinunter zum Steinertsee um welchen man dann wieder zurück zum Parkplatz kommt.

Kaufungen - Leipziger Str bis zur Q1 - dann scharf links - bei Opel links halten, dann über die Schienen und geradeaus bis zum Parkplatz durchfahren.
