Die Tour beginnt in Ilmenau (Aldimarkt) und geht über Manebach zur Schmücke. Von dort aus sind es es noch wenige km bis zum Schneekopf. Die Rückfahrt geht über Gehlberg, Mönchshof, Schöffenhaus nach Ilmenau.
