Climb up is 1256 Hm and 9,3 Km long.
The climb starts at the Nida lodge at the Nida plateau.
On the top is a smal stone shelter (the Timios Stavros shapel). Behind the chapel is, stange enough on this heigt a well.You can admire Crete 360° overlooking the north and south shores.
The return is along the same path.
You can stay overnight at the Nida Lodge (only 2 rooms) or in tents at the Nidaplateau near the lodge (bring your own equipment).
From the lodge a jeeptrack (800 m single)leads to the 'Ideon Andro' = cave of Zeus (mythologic birthplace of Zeus).
