This is my trail from the first British Heart Foundation offroad London to Brighton Bike ride. This trail includes a small detour by me from the main route but it makes little difference.
The trail starts at Roehamption Uni, just out side Richmond Park. The trail starts simply enough, through Richmond Park and following the Thames to Weybridge. Once you are past Byfleet the route starts to get interesting, as your are on some proper off road trails.
Soon you get to the first climbs as you cross the north downs - there are some great technical trails here - I should advise some caution here for the downhills.
Once the fun is over you join the Downs link way - an old railway track. Which offers a fast ride to the South Downs.
The climb over the South Downs is steep, rocky and hard work, and in contrast the downhill is relatively long and gentle.
Finally there is a gentle cruise along the sea front to the Centre of Brighton.
