Vom Westfalenhaus in westlicher Richtung unschwierig in 2 Std. hinauf zum Winnebachjoch. Vom Joch besteht noch die Möglichkeit in 1 1/2 Std. weglos den Winnebacher Weißkogel zu ersteigen.
Vom Joch vorerst in westlicher, dann in südlicher Richtung zur bereits sichtbaren Winnebachseehütte (2 Std.).
Der Abstieg nach Gries ist in einer weiteren Stunde zu machen.
