Von Tauplitz Klachau zuerst Richtung Wörschachwald, bevor die Straße ansteigt biegt man links Richtung ZLEM ab und fährt fast bis zum Gasthof unterhalb des Gwendlingstein's.
Von hier geht es dann den Südanstieg hinauf und ostseitig wieder herunter.
Der Anstieg ist relativ steil im Gegensatz zum Normalweg.
Es besteht die Möglichkeit nach dem Gwendlingstein den Hechlstein (Tour#131340) über den Klettersteig gleich mitzubesteigen.
