Die Runde beginnt und endet in Grenzau. Zu guten Teilen folgt man der bestens beschilderten Wällertour Brexbachschluchtweg. Durch die vielen anderen gut markierten Wege in der Gegend lässt sich der Weg problemlos variieren.
Zum größten Teil geht es über Wald- und Forstwege sowie Pfade. Der Asphaltanteil ist minimal. Besonders schön ist das Wegstück entlang des naturbelassenen Brexbaches unterhalb des Teufelsberges.
