1944 wurde angefangen die Stadt zu errichten. Es sollte eine Lepra Station werden. Die Krankheit wurde jedoch fast vollständig ausgerottet durch neue Behandlungsmethoden und Medikamente so dass die Stadt nicht weiter gebaut wurde. So ist es heute eine Geisterstadt.
Wenn man jetzt hier durchwandert kann man schon ein eigenartig beklemmendes Gefühl bekommen.

Von der Autobahn nach Abades abbiegen und beim ersten Kreisverkehr nach links abbiegen zum Ecovillaclub. Hierparken und dann zu Fuß weiterlaufen.
