Die Strecke führt vom Donard Car Park in Newcastle (N54 12.377 W5 53.648) zuerst entlang des Glen River durch den Wald. Das letzte Stück geht es neben oder auf der Mourne Wall bis zur Spitze. Vielleicht sollte man auf der Mauer eine Rutsche installieren für den Rückweg. An sonnigen Wochenenden ist es leider sehr voll. Ich war Sonntags da und traf auf knapp hundert Wandersfreunde allein am Ziel. Die Aussicht von oben ist wundervoll. Die Gegend trägt nicht umsonst die Auszeichnung AONB (Area of outstanding natural Beauty).
