Ausgangspunkt ist Mürzsteg/Appelhof: Nachdem wir kuz der Alplentour folgen zweigen wir bald nach links ab und folgen dem Verlauf der Strasse mit relativ knackigem Anstieg hinauf zum Hochstand. Hier gehts dann nicht mehr weiter und wir kehren um, um bei der Abzweigung gerade auszufahren, hinauf zum Monument. Von hier hat man einen tollen Ausblick. Zurück geht es auf dem gleichen Weg wie wir gekommen sind.
