Dietesheim Steinbrüche ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Ein Teilbereich der jetzigen Seenlandschaft steht unter Naturschutz. Bis ins Jahr 1982 wurde hier Basalt abgebaut. In den Sommermonaten ist es hier sehr belebt, nicht zuletzt wegen einigen Vereinshäusern die sich in der Nähe befinden. Unsere Wanderroute dehnt sich etwas im Waldgebiet süd-westlich Richtung Lämmerspiel aus.
