Weitestgehend auf ruhigen Nebenstraßen sowie Feld- und Waldwegen. Viele Streckenabschnitte mit schönen Ausblicken, allerdings auch sehr exponiert bei Wind. Fahrt kann an vielen Stellen durch Rückkehr nach Zeulenroda abgekürzt werden.

· A 9 von Norden kommend: Abfahrt 26 Triptis > Auma > Wenigenauma > Talsperre Zeulenroda > In Zeulenroda bis B 94, auf diese links einbiegen. B 94 bis Abzweig Triebes an Ampel, dort links auf Triebeser Straße > 300 m nach Kreisverkehr rechts auf Parkplatz vor Bistro und Autohaus Leistner, Triebeser Straße 15 {N50° 39’ 50.0’’ E11° 59’ 50.5’’}.
