Vom Parkplatz beim Bahnhof Waldegg startet die Wanderung auf die Hohe Wand. Kurz durch die Ortschaft Waldegg geht es Richtung Steinbruch. Laut Kompass Karten liegt der Steinbruch nur rechts beim Aufstieg. Dieser geht aber mitten durch den Steinbruch. Für diese Wanderung würde ich nur Samstag, Sonntag oder Feiertags empfehlen. Montag bis Freitag ist zwar der Wanderweg erlaubt, aber die Sprengsignale beachten. Nach dem Steinbruch vorbei am Schranken (Forststraße) und ohne Makierung geht es bis zur Mautstraße von der Hohen Wand. Über den Waldlehrpfad geht es zum Herrgottschnitzerhaus. Abstieg über die Grüne und teilweise Gelbe Makierung nach Waldegg. Siehe Track.
