Schöne kleinere Bergtour im Ifengebiet.
Parkmöglichkeiten bestehen am Mahdtalhaus.
Ab hier geht es durch das Mahdtal vorbei am Hölloch zum Windecksattel. Danach wird über die Unteren Gottesackerwände abgestiegen. Anschließend geht es weglos auf den Gatterkopf.
Der Abstieg erfolgt auf Pfadspuren durch das Gatterbachtal. Hier ist gutes Schuhwerk notwendig, da dieses Gebiet auch in trockenen Zeiten sehr wasserzügig ist!
Zwar leichte, aber dennoch alpine Wanderung auf nicht immer markierten Wegen/Pfaden.
