Die Wanderung startet am Refugio El Pilar in etwa 1.500 Höhenmeter. Von dort aus geht es zunächst auf dem LP16 Richung Süden bis dieser auf den VM125 stößt. Wir biegen nun Richtung Westen ab und gelangen am Pico Nambroque vorbei irgendwann auf den GP 131, der uns wieder zurück zum Refugio führt.

Das Refugio El Pilar erreicht man von El Paso oder von Brena Baja aus. Dort gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze.
