Vom Dorfplatz in Galtür Richtung Jamtal und nach links Richtung Sport- und Kulturzentrum. Vorbei am alten Schlepplift den Waldrand aufwärts Richtung Predigberg und durch den Predigbergwald. Nach dem Wald auf der freien Fläche weiter hinauf bis zur Abzweigung. In der Nähe ist ein Startplatz für Paragleiter. Bei genügend Zeit könnte auch noch der Predigberg in etwa 1 1/2 Std. bestiegen werden.
Auf dem Fahrweg leicht absteigend durch die Lawinengalerien Richtung Osten bis zur nächsten Kreuzung. Hier rechts haltend in Kürze zur Larein Alm (bewirtschaftet). Den Rückweg entweder über den Stafali Weiher oder auf der Forststraße zur Lochmühle und entlang des Uferweges nach Galtür.
