Villach in Kärnten ist ein schlauer Punkt um bei der Fahrt in den Süden sich einmal die Beine zu vertreten. Es ist eine kleine Industriestadt mit Hochtechnologie. Trotzdem spaziert sich recht nett darin herum. Beidseits der Drau gibt es kleine Promenaden und zwei Kirchen. Mehrere Cafés laden ein. In der saure Gurken Zeit kann man zentrumsnah und preiswert mit angestaubtem Viersternekomfort im Congress Hotel übernachten. Zu Abend speist man vielleicht am besten beim Griechen im Restaurant Delphi.

Villach in Kärnten erreicht man von Norden über die Tauernautobahn. Camper sollten vor einer Besichtigung doch lieber umziehen! ;-)
