Die Tour steigt vom Kloster Maria Waldrast, stetig über einen Steig bis zum Serlesjöchl hinauf. Ab hier kommt der Schlußspurt der teilweise gesichert ist aber ohne Ausrüstung zu meistern. Die GPS Daten sind für diese Route, die Alternative steht bei der Anfahrt beschrieben.

Von Innsbruck über die Brennerautobahn bis zur Ausfahrt Matrei / Steinach. Maut 7,5 € (2008) Nach der Ausfahrt nach links durch die Ortschaft Matrei und hinauf zum Kloster Maria Waldrast. Auch hier ist Mautstrasse. Wer auf der Autobahn schon die Ausfahrt Stubai/Schönberg benutzt bezahlt nur 2,5 €, dann weiter über die alte Brennerstrasse nach Matrei. (15 Min). Man kann auch von Medraz im Stubaital aus aufsteigen welches dann einige Höhenmeter mehr bring. (7km 1.800 HM)
