Start: Glauburg
Ziel: Alsfeld
Die Route schlängelt sich weitgehend auf der Trasse der ehemaligen Oberwaldbahn durch eine herrliche offene Wald- und Wiesenlandschaft. Die Natur, Dörfer, Städtchen zeigen sich aus einer Perspektive, die allenfalls Bahnreisenden bis Mitte der 70ger Jahre in Erinnerung ist.
Entlang der Strecke findet man immer wieder besondere Kulturstätten, archäologische Ausgrabungen, Burgen, Schlösser und Museen.
Von Lauterbach nach Alsfeld befindet man sich überwiegend auf dem Radweg R 2 bzw. dem Schwalm-Radweg.
