Ausgangspunkt ist Jenbach, mein Heimatort. Ich fahre dann Richtung Schoss Tratzberg, hinauf zum Heuberg und dann kommt die Herausforderung. Es geht den oft sehr steilen und groben Schotterweg hoch zum Stanserjoch. Der Weg ist auf 1961 (Stanser Hochleger) zu Ende. Es zahlt sich auf jeden Fall aus, wenn man zu Fuss noch die letzten 150 bis 200 hm zum Kreuz hochgeht. Oben gibt es dann eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Achensee und auch ins Inntal sowie auf die Berge ins Zillertal.
Runter muss man wieder den gleichen Weg mit dem Bike. Zu Fuss könnte man auf Bärenbad (Pertisau) oder Weissenbach Alm (Maurach am Achensee) absteigen. Von der Weissenbach Alm ist der Weg auch mit dem Bike wieder fahrbar.
