Wir starten in Hallstatt am Marktplatz und fahren Richtung norden auf der westlichen Uferstraße. Das erste Stück bis Bad Goisern muss man leider auf der Bundesstraße fahren, danach geht es auf kleineren Straßen und Rad-, bzw. Wanderwegen weiter. Besonders das Ostufer ist sehr schön zu fahren.
Mountainbikes nicht erforderlich, Trekking-Bikes gehen auch.
